Our Premium Oil Paint comes in a range of 46 rich colours with a smooth buttery texture you'll love. Made from high quality pigments, it features good covering power, excellent tinting strength and clean colour mixing. This artist oil paint maintains its vibrancy from wet to dry, creating consistent colour results. To top it all off, the very good lightfast rating means your artworks will look their best for many years to come.

  • Excellent tinting strength and clean mixing for rich, vibrant colours
  • Colours remain unchanged from wet to dry
  • Very good lightfastness: Mont Marte Premium Oil Paints have a lightfast rating of 6 or above (equivalent to ASTM2). This means that under museum lighting conditions, the pigment will remain unchanged for 50-100 years
  • Slower drying time gives you more flexibility to experiment with layering, blending and brush techniques
  • Touch dry after 3-4 days (completely cures in 6-12 months)
  • Finish varies across colours in the range
  • Non-toxic

Handy hints:

  • Use oil paints with wooden palettes (solvents such as turpentine and white spirits may damage plastic palettes)
  • Change paint consistency by adding small amounts of turpentine and linseed oil
  • Prepare your surface with a coat of primer
